I've been thinking a lot about how Black people are conduits of joy, even as our humanity is stripped away by the racist institutions and individuals surrounding us, and I wanted to explore that feeling. That Black joy, juxtaposed with all the rest of it.

My poem "A Eulogy for Myself” concludes “Black Dreams, Futures & Mutual Support,” the third issue of SKEW Magazine. The 50+ contributing Black artists all split the proceeds, so I'm directly supported by every purchase. Rad.

I want more Christian parents, especially those in communities of color who are blessed enough to have their queerphobic line of thinking change during their lifetime, to understand the concept of intent versus impact.”

On April 22, 2023, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books made its grand appearance at the University of Southern California, promising two days filled with captivating panels, showcases, and bustling vendor booths… For this writer, it was an exciting inaugural experience at the event.
